    • This is a great primer of mindfulness by a Therivadan Monk and brilliant individual.

  • ​When Things Fall Apart: Heart Advice for Difficult Times (Shambhala Classics) by Pema Chodron

    • Heart-Wisdom from the Tibetan tradition by a famous Western Nun.

  • Peace Is Every Step: The Path of Mindfulness in Everyday Life by Thich Nhat Hanh, Arnold Kotler and H. H. the Dalai Lama 

    • Heart-Wisdom from a famous Vietnamese Zen monk

  • Dancing with Life: Buddhist insights for finding meaning and joy in the face of suffering by Phillip Moffittand Venerable Ajahn Sumedho

    • ​An excellent but challenging book on the 4 Noble Truths, perhaps a follow up after Jack Kornfield’s book.

  • True Refuge by Tara Brach

    • This is a good blend between Western Buddhism and psychology. She tells many stories about how she and her clients have worked with daily and sometimes difficult problems.
